Assistant Professor Dr. Ayoob Radhi Tuama is a faculty member at the College of Health and Medical Technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Bioinformatics in 2018, following his Master's degree in Molecular Genetics in 2015.
Throughout his academic career, he has held several key administrative positions, including Rapporteur of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department (2020–2023), Rapporteur of the Community Health Techniques Department (2023–2024), and currently serves as the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs (2024–present). He is an active member of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, the Iraqi Society of Molecular Genetics, and the Biotechnology Society.
His research interests and practical expertise are primarily focused on Molecular Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Biostatistics. Furthermore, he possesses advanced laboratory skills, encompassing nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) extraction, various Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques, and comprehensive genetic analysis. He has actively participated in numerous local and international conferences. He is also a certified Training of Trainers (TOT) instructor in e-learning management, accredited by the US-based IREX organization. He has an extensive portfolio of research published in reputable international scientific journals, addressing a diverse range of topics within bioinformatics, molecular genetics, and genetic diseases.
